Our Purpose

It is essential for a church to be able to answer the question, “why do we exist?” At The Message Church, every idea, program, and budget request is filtered through our purpose statement. If what we are considering doesn’t help us meet our purpose, we don’t do it.

Our purpose at The Message Church is summarized in a single statement:

“To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus so they might become fully empowered to live as legitimate followers of Christ.”

Jesus requires our everything; loving him with all our heart, soul and mind creates a covenant relationship that ushers the believer into the royal family. Where we go, we carry the Kingdom. We’ve been given all authority to be ambassadors in that Kingdom. We are to expand that Kingdom exponentially.

The Message Church exists:

• To worship God with sincere, authentic expression.
• To share the Good News of Jesus with others.
• To connect believers with Jesus in a life-changing relationship.
• To prepare disciples to fulfill their God-created purpose.
• To encourage leaders in their God-given destiny.
