First Baptisms!

We had our first baptisms and we had them at the beach!

On Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2010, we had seven responses during the worship service and headed down to Fort Fisher beach to baptize those eager to show the world that they were following Jesus.

It made it so much more interesting that hurricane Igor was passing by a couple of hundred miles off the coast and was creating 7-foot waves and a vicious undertow. Everyone involved got baptized!

What a blast!

We even had a potluck right there on the beach afterwards and enjoyed the companionship as the sun set. A gorgeous, wonderful day!
