The Message Church’s heart is to see people belong. You cannot “belong” by yourself, belonging involves community. We practice community at a cellular level, bringing all the cells together to make the body and we call these cells Belong Groups, or B-Groups. It would be fair to say thatThe Message is a composite of multiple house
churches joined together as a big family. We exist so that people far from God are filled with life in Christ by initiating and sustaining life change through community.
We are committed to a culture of community. True spiritual growth takes place as we build relationships in settings that encourage transparency and openness. B-groups meeting together in people’s homes weekly provide that setting. When you join a B-group at The Message, here’s what you can expect:
- the opportunity to engage with others on a deeper level
- the ability to apply Biblical principles to your own life in a meaningful, non-artificial way
- the opportunity to come together as a large family in a weekly celebration
- being able to serve and impact the community
Too often, we view the Sunday service as “church;” this takes the emphasis off the biblical injunction to “be” the church. God designed people for community. Each of us has a desire “to belong” somewhere. Seeking community is often what brings people to “try church” on Sundays. It will be relationships and life change that will engage us and make the Sunday service vital to us.
At The Message, we understand that worship celebration on Sunday is uplifting, a time to celebrate God, and an important part of our spiritual growth but it will not bring about life transformation. It is in cell community where life transformation occurs. Even Jesus did not do it alone…He created community by gathering the 12 disciples.

Don’t you want to belong?
