Have you ever been amazed how a single seed can product thousands more just like it?
Nature shows us how prolific it can be if you simply cultivate it. Church is no different. A single believer who knows who he is, if properly planted, produces a 10-fold, a 100-fold and even a 1000-fold return. At The Message we are excited about that kind of increase and want to cultivate it in the life of every believer.
The A-Team is one aspect of that cultivation as it introduces you to the concept of service. B-Groups, or Belong Groups, provide an intimate outlet for meeting and enhancing your spiritual, community and social needs. Between the two, a person begins the process of getting practical experience in the Kingdom.
But there is even more that can be had and the concept behind Cultive Life is how we achieve it. When abbreviated, C-Life, sounds like “See Life” and that isn’t just one of those coincidences that sometimes occurs… it is intentional. We are visual people and the better we can see something, the better we can understand it.
C-Life has two primary components: Missions and the Discipleship.
Missions is simply the process of your spiritual “seed” germinating. It plays out in your neighborhood, at work, in public and with friends. It is intentional. When we put a cross-cultural spin on it, the return is even greater. We use Brazil as our workshop and spiritual gym. We birth warriors there; we give them battle experience; we give battlefield commissions. For more information, click here to read about it.
The other aspect is the Discipleship of Leaders. This is an exciting component that we have been developing for months and has given the church a vital training ground for real leaders to be raised up.
The people of the Lord live in a consistent manner, follow the teachings of Jesus and experience the blessings of Abba when it is formed and trained on the teachings of the Bible. We understand that each disciple that comes into the Kingdom of God is responsable for producing new believers who will become new disciples. In order to do that successfully, they need to fully understand the eternal purposes of heaven.
Discipleship is designed to train the army of the living God, helping the believer to not fall prey to the enemy’s desires and plans for them go back to their old lives that they’ve already buried. A “hands-on” experience, it teaches the teachings of Jesus in a practical manner on how to become an effective leader.
More than transforming lives, the church needs leaders who desire to fulfill their calling. God is raising up a new generation of leaders who are challenged and motivated by His “Great Commission.” We need more leaders who are prepared to influence others to win lives for the kingdom and this happens when we accept the challenge to put on the character of Jesus. We are aggressive in our purpose of making that a reality.
